Our Doggie Daycare is open from 7AM-5:30PM Mondays through Fridays. We keep our groups small and separate by size. Naptime is from 12-2PM, so we ask that there is no pick up during this time. Contact us today for availability.

If you would like additional services while your pup is with us, we offer nail trims, ear cleaning and 15 minute training session packages as well.

At Agape K9 Academy, we believe that it is important for the handler and service dog to start bonding as soon as possible. We work with you from start to finish with choosing a dog that may be suitable for service work and helping you train them in basic obedience, Canine Good Citizenship, and their specialization. We can help with psychiatric, mobility or medical specialization.

We do require a minimum training session commitment of 3 days per week for at least 2 hours per session. We will take breaks during each training session to ensure your dog does not get overwhelmed or stressed during training.

It has been proven that the first 12-14 weeks of a puppy’s life is the most crucial time for socialization. Positive social experiences during this period of time go a long ways in ensuring your puppy becomes a confident member of your family. A well-socialized pup is a pleasure to take out in public and interact well in a wide variety of circumstances. Therefore, we run our puppy classes geared towards ages 8-12 weeks. All puppies who want to participate in Puppy Basics must have had their 1st distemper/parvo vaccine. To ensure the health of the puppies in our class, all puppies must have their temperature taken before attending class. They also cannot come to class if they have been vomiting or had diarrhea in the last 48 hours. All puppy surfaces are disinfected prior to each class.

Puppy Basics will be a time of playing, experiencing different surfaces, textures, sounds and movement, as well as learning to accept having paws, ears, eyes, mouth, tail and genitalia manipulated to prepare them for veterinary visits and grooming. Our main goal is to make sure that all puppies have a fun and low-stress training experience. We will also discuss training topics, such as potty training, bite inhabition, socialization and more! Minimum age is 12 weeks. This course will teach sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, wait, off and come. Basic Obedience is a 5 week course meeting twice a week for 1 hour each session. We will also discuss topics of crate training, body blocking and building confidence. Check out our Events page to see when the next class starts.

Prerequisite: Basic Obedience. This course will review the commands from Basic Obedience, as well as teach watch, leave it, place, give, heel, long down/sit stays and touch. This course will help to fine tune your dog’s obedience vocabulary. See our Events page to sign up for the next class.

Our Open Gym boasts agility equipment, flyball equipment, and a place to get energy out while building lasting bonds. You can make a reservation for evening and weekend use, which allows for access to equipment and space. This is NOT doggy daycare and the owner must stay with the dog during the entire visit to the gym. Best doggy manners must be utilized at all times while in the gym. Please be considerate of others! Clients will not be allowed to utilize the facility until vaccine history is provided and the dog has been assessed by one of our trainers.

Group obedience classes are not the right environment for all dogs. If you are dealing with behavior issues such as high anxiety, poor social manners or aggression, these behaviors are best resolved in private sessions. Our trainers will come to your home and assess your dog in it’s own environment. The trainer will come up with an individualized training plan specifically suited for your dog. The plan will be adjusted, as needed, to best suit you and your four-legged companion’s needs as you progress through training.

Our Online Training Subscription is a monthly subscription that gives you access to a large database of training videos that break down basic commands. Due to liability risk, the videos do not show how to correct behavior issues, and should only be used to train basic obedience to your furry friend.
